***5.39 Towcester - Tax Evader (2pts)

**4.26 Towcester - Strike It Skye  (2pts)

*2.52 Towcester - Miltons Dream (1pt)

There are six opens at Towcester this afternoon and Tax Evader is fancied to make the most of a lovely make-up out wide in division one of the Towcester Standard at 5.39. Roy Peckham’s wide seed has trap six with a vacant box on his inside and that can allow him to steal a march on his rivals. He lost nothing in defeat when chasing home the useful Boomers Wildcat here a week ago and he made all over this C&D in 29.23 earlier in July. A repeat of that sort of form can see him cut loose today and prove tough to reel in.

Mark Wallis has a very interesting newcomer in the shape of Strike It Skye in the 500m maiden at 4.26. The January 2024 daughter of Ballymac Cashout and Peckies Flyer has shown plenty of potential in his trials here, most notably a smart 15.77 (calculated) over 270m and a 29.09 (calculated) over this trip last Sunday, when beating the reopposing Fire Height Lila. This isn’t the strongest of maiden contests and she is fancied to get first run from a good draw on the rails.

Miltons Dream can put his local knowledge to good use in the division two of the Towcester Sprint at 2.52. The Michelle Brown-trained speedster has won three D1 events here from his last four starts, including when hacking up in a pleasing 15.71 last time out. That sort of time should see him complete a hat-trick today and he shouldn’t be inconvenienced too much by starting from trap three.
