Joe's Friday Tips - 25 July
Doug Tyler Summer Cup final features on a good card at Romford on Friday evening.

Joe's Friday tips
***7.27 Romford - Terrys Dream (3pts) 2/1
**9.46 Romford - Le Pur Sang (2pts) 11/4
*8.19 Romford - Whitewood Libre (2pts) 9/4
The Friday night opens continue at Romford this evening with the highlight being the Doug Tyler Summer Cup final over 575m where recent Coral Coronation Cup winner Fabulous Sonique takes all the beating at 9.11pm.
The nap of the evening runs in the third heat of the 400m maiden competition at 7.27pm, when trap four Terrys Dream can get the better of Mystical Cali. He is running consistently well in open company as well as A1s and A2s without getting his head in front but with a chance of leading this evening, he should not be for catching if getting loose early on. He had Catch My Girl behind him seven days ago and I would expect the same again tonight, as long as Terrys Dream traps well. He is drawn on the right side of Mystical Cali to get the better of that rival.
The next best is trap four Le Pur Sang in the RGOA Standard over 400m at 9.46pm. It is only a matter of time before he traps and wins well over this evening's C&D after a couple of smart runs in defeat. There is plenty of pace in the race but he should get a nice run with Tomahawk in three edging in and Whitewood Lenny in five moving off, so as long as Le Pur Sang can trap on terms, he should have too much for his rivals. He is a strong runner from the second bend over this trip, so getting around bends one and two unscathed will play into his hands and he can then show his pace to set the race up for himself and pick up a first victory since February.
The third bet of the evening is Coronation Cup finalist Whitewood Libre, who runs from trap three in the Ashwells Greyhound Retirement Home Stayers over 575m at 8.19pm. A vacant box in two and Swift Giddy in trap one gives Whitewood Libre the perfect make-up to pounce in a race where she can turn with Airtech Amigo and have too much for him from the fourth bend. She is capable of a sub-35.40 run if getting daylight and anywhere near that kind of time sees Whitewood Libre win this comfortably.
