Sunday's Tips

*** 3.49 Towcester – Romeo Alliance (4pts) 4/7

** 3.11 Towcester - Vermithor (2pt) 4/5

* 2.33 Towcester – Gripwell Peg (1.5pt) 13/2

At 3.49 in the JR Racing Juvenile Classic all eyes will be on the Patrick Janssens-trained railer Romeo Alliance as the October 2023 youngster looks to make it three wins on the bounce and land the £10,000 prize money. Romeo Alliance has won the heats and semi-finals by a combined nine lengths, both from this rails draw in T1. Today, if he brings his trapping boots again, he can lead round and make all. Kennelmates Romeo Ability (T2) and Not So Steady (T4) can battle it out for second place.

At 3.11 in the Towcester Maiden open race over the four-bend 500-metre trip look out for the Mark Wallis-trained youngster Vermithor from T1. The December 2023 son of Burgess Bucks returns to action today following a two-week layoff following elimination from the JR Racing Juvenile Classic first round heats. Vermithor shows plenty of early pace in his races and will be getting stronger with each run. If he traps well here, he can kick half a dozen clear and will not be for catching.

One that could go well at a price this afternoon is Gripwell Peg from T2 in the Towcester Standard open race at 2.33. In a race lacking early pace, Peg has a chance to lead round, if that happens its race on. Table Toppers (T3) has kept good company of late and will be a runner with a clear run. Tax Evader (T6) is lightly raced and would be a danger to all with a smart exit.
