Magical Luka broke his own track record for the 500-yard trip at Tralee on Friday night.

Having posted a new best of 26.64 (+10) in the second round, Patrick Guilfoyle’s dog went even better in the semi-finals of the Moorstown Kennels Stakes when winning by eight lengths in a brilliant 26.61 (+10).

The October 2023 son of King Sheeran and Magical Mary went unbeaten through the Carrick Aldo @ Stud ON1/ON2 400 at Dundalk last month and now boasts a perfect career record of six wins from as many starts.

The exciting youngster will line-up as a red-hot favourite for the final at Kingdom Greyhound Stadium next week.
