Joe's Thursday Tips

***7.49 Hove - Moving Force (4pts) 11/8
**8.24 Hove - Newinn Benni (3pts) 5/4
*6.42 Hove - Glenmavis (2pts) 5/4

Open races a plenty at Hove this evening including finals over 500m, a standard final and a maiden final.

The nap of the evening runs in the Coral 515 Trophy Heat Two at 7.49pm. Trap six Moving Force is one from one over this C&D and can continue his 100% strike rate with another trap to line success. He was an impressive second behind Faypoint Harvey at Towcester last weekend and there should not be anything in the race to stop him leading. He stays strongly and would not be for catching so a good break from Moving Force sees him lead and win.

The next best is trap six Newinn Benni in the Coral 500 Standard Trophy Final over 500m at 8.24pm. The reigning Coral Sussex Cup champion is well drawn out wide who should get first run on Soul Choice in trap five. He is a game sort when in front Newinn Benni and a level break this evening sees him lead into the bend. From there he can stretch far enough clear to hold with the likes of Ower Cracker and Soul Choice throwing down a late rattle at Newinn Benni but in vain.

The third bet of the evening is trap three Glenmavis in the Coral Summertime 500 Maidens at 6.42pm. In two runs back following a lengthy lay-off, Glenmavis has run second in an A1 before being beaten when well fancied in the heats of a 500 maiden competition last week over C&D. She should be getting better with each run under her belt where she finds herself in a winnable race this evening that looks more like an A2 so she should be comfortable in this company and can make that pay by getting rid of her maiden tag.
