Dellser Bolger Sets the Pace in Johnny McLoughlin Memorial Semi-Finals
Monday night greyhound racing at Brandywell saw a pair of competitions reach the semi-final stage.

Brandywell finals set for next week
Monday's Brandywell races featured the semi-finals for both the Johnny McLoughlin Memorial Sprint and Daniel Canning Memorial 500.
The action commenced with an impressive sprint by Million Bells, who claimed victory in 16.92, his third outing for owners Patrick and John Daly and trainer Roy Ruddy. Breaking evenly from trap 5, the striking white and fawn, 85 pounder, pulled ahead early and secured a four and a half length win.
In Race 2, Dellser Bolger, owned by Richard Graham and Patrick Edgar, was the fastest qualifier from the Johnny McLoughlin Memorial Sprint Semi-Finals. Racing from trap 4, he led all the way to secure a commanding five-length victory in 16.83. Skywalker Tina followed in second, while Stoke Trump, hampered early, took third.
Race 3’s thrilling finish came courtesy of Danny McCormack’s Cee Or Seven, who surged through the pack to win by two and three-quarter lengths in 17.16. Despite a moderate start from trap 3, Cee navigated a tight field to emerge in front on the home straight. Meet More Often and Sniper Orla Wray rounded out the top three.
The final lineup for the Johnny McLoughlin Sprint is: T1 Skywalker Tina, T2 Sniper Orla Wray, T3 Cee Or Seven, T4 Stoke Trump, T5 Meet More Often, T6 Dellser Bolger.
In the Daniel Canning Memorial Sprint semi-finals, veteran Starcash Barry proved he's still formidable, claiming his 16th career win by dominating from trap 2. He secured an unchallenged victory in 28.09 by five and a half lengths, with Droopys Chatter and Country Curly also advancing.
Meenagh Manila captured the second semi-final for A Few Chancers Syndicate. She led from trap 1, and won by three and a half lengths in 28.13. She was challenged by Reneas Boy at the third bend but he got checked up which allowed Manila to reassert. Catunda Quinn and Reneas Boy secured their spots for the final from this heat.
The final draw for the Daniel Canning Memorial 500 is: T1 Reneas Boy, T2 Starcash Barry, T3 Meenagh Manila, T4 Droopys Chatter, T5 Catunda Quinn, T6 Country Curly.
Race 6 turned into a commanding win for Denis Murphy's Use The Clock, who led from trap 1 and won by seven lengths recording the fastest time of the night, 28.01, over 500 yards.
Closing the program, Dermot Coney's Shrewd Stories, running from his preferred trap 6, overcame a slow start and took the lead with an electrifying first bend. He finished in 16.90 with a four and a quarter length lead, marking his 12th career victory.
