ARC Kent Silver Salver kicks off at Central Park

While much of the focus will be on the Star Sports/TRC English Greyhound Derby semi-finals at Towcester, there is also big-race action at Central Park on Saturday as the ARC Kent Silver Salver gets underway.

Six heats of the Category One event over 277m will feature at the Kent circuit and it has attracted some of the top sprinters around.

Ante-post favourite Ballinakill Liam arrives on a six-timer and he clashes with King Jackson in a very interesting opener, while Scurry Gold Cup winner Rioja Oisin takes on the in-form King Presley in a mouthwatering fourth heat.

Last year’s winner Magical Bluebear is back to defend his crown in heat three and he goes up against the talented Pavilion Team.

Ballinakill Liam (6/1 PricedUp)

The Mark Wallis-trained dog has been a revelation since dropping to sprint trips and he completed a five-timer with a demolition job in a minor final at Monmore last month. Moved well in his trial at Central Park and the May 2023 whelp remains relatively unexposed.

Coppice Ronnie (25/1 PricedUp)

Boasts some smart Oxford form in the spring and he lost nothing in defeat to better-fancied rivals King Presley and Rioja Oisin when a close-up third at Central Park recently. Kevin Hutton’s charge has been handed a nice opening heat and looks overpriced.
