Joe's Friday Night Tips

***8.54 Romford - Snoozing Jimmy (3pts) 5/2
**7.27 Romford - Whitewood Lenny (2pts) 4/1
*7.11 Romford - Tomahawk (2pts) 2/1

Friday means plenty of open race action at Romford with nine opens on the card this evening.

The nap of the night runs in the 575m maiden stayers at 8.54pm where trap six Snoozing Jimmy has been doing plenty of good work late on in his race over four bends in recent weeks and steps back up in trip again after a third place finish back on April 18. As long as he can turn in a handy position there are question marks over the stamina of some of his rivals and that can prove decisive with Snoozing Jimmy plugging on out wide to land the spoils.

The next best is trap six Whitewood Lenny in the Friday Night 500 Standard Heat Two at 7.27pm. He was desperately unlucky last week when leading before being fought off the last bend eventually going down a short head and although he is yet to recapture his best form, he is capable of doing so at any time where 4/1 looks a more than fair price in what is a competitive race with Droopys Manowar and Bacon Roll vying for the lead down the middle. He is well drawn Whitewood Lenny to run a big race.

The third bet of the evening is trap three Tomahawk in the Friday Night 500 Standard Heat One at 7.11pm. He was beat at a short price last week but the last time he was in this box he clocked a 3.59 sectional going onto score in 23.77 so a repeat or similar break would see him lead and make all. Droopys Rarity in trap four is the main danger if clearing Tomahawk but I would still fancy the latter to catch the former if he can then close enough so we’re with Tomahawk to get the better of Droopys Rarity.
