The semi-finals of the Category One BetGoodwin Pall Mall took centre stage on Saturday, and they didn’t disappoint with Rioja Oisin, Union Rebel and Crossfield Enzo all winning in impressive fashion. Gingers Prince, Paradise Sky and Madabout Peck also booked their places in this Saturday's £10,000 to the winner final over the four-bend 450-metre trip at Oxford.

The final looks like a cracker on paper with plenty in with live chances. As ever, the 450-metre trip at Oxford its all on the break and run into the first corner. Can recent Kent Silver Salver winner Rioja Oisin clear Crossfield Enzo into the bend or will the Richard Rees-trained Hove raider lead round and make all.

Rioja Oisin bounced back to winning ways after defeat in the heats last week to take the first semi-final of the Pall Mall in great style on Saturday evening. He was much more relaxed this week and showed the benefit of a good blowout as he flew the lids to lead all the way in 26.33. It was a breathtaking run and if he were to get the break right on the big night I’d say there’s even better to come from him. Union Rebel is improving with every race and he also flew the lids to lead all the way in his semi-final to win by 2 lengths in 26.55. There’s more to come from him as well but he’ll need to be on his metal from a tough looking draw in trap 6 in the final.''
