Ante-Post Market Movers- Lennies Desire halved in Ante-Post betting after sensational first round performance

After a number impressive performances on the third night of the 2025 StarSports/TRC Greyhound Derby, there have been several market movers in the Ante-Post betting for outright success

The form of this year’s BetGoodwin & JR Racing Maiden Derby is looking red hot in this years 2025 StarSports/TRC Greyhound Derby. With winner Hello Diego running well in defeat on Thursday, last night saw two winning performances from the second and third placed Greyhounds, Ballybough Nutz, trained by Maxine Locke, and Lennies Desire, trained by Paul Hennessy, with the later producing the fastest time of the night, recording 28.58.

As a result, Hennessy’s runner has halved in the outright betting now, with a best price 16/1 generally available having been at 33/1 with Bet365 and BoyleSports yesterday morning

Ballybough Nutz, who produced one of the quickest sectionals in the first round of 3.93, has also halved in the betting. Maxine Locke’s runner is as low as 50/1 but is generally available to back at 66/1, with BetMgm’s 100/1 not expected to stick around for much longer.

Hennessy was also on the mark with 2024 Runner Up Boylesports Bob, who came from off the pace to score in 29.16 and he has been trimmed in the betting. Having been 50/1 with Bet365 yesterday, he is now a best priced 33/1, which is freely available in his bid to go one place better in this years Final.

Patrick Janssens had a couple of winners on Saturday Evening, but it was Droopys Plunge who has been supported, having surprisingly led early when running out a good winner in 28.64, and as a result, is now a best priced 16/1 with Bet365, BoyleSports and AK Bets, having been as big as 25/1 and 28/1 in recent days

.

Pat Buckley’s Ballinabola Joe, who produced the fastest sectional time of 3.91 when getting the better of Barefoot On Fire, making all the running in 28.62, and is another who has halved in the betting. Having been available at 50/1 generally yesterday, Buckley’s charge is now as low as 20/1 with BoyleSports and Unibet but is generally a 25/1 shot.

Finishing runner up behind Ballinabola Joe was Hennessy's Barefoot On Fire, himself producing a time of 28.66 and has been cut into as low as 40/1 by sponsors StarSports but is still generally available at 66/1, having been as big as 100/1 yesterday morning with SkyBet, Paddy Power and BoyleSports, a price which still looks huge given the quality of that performance
